Saw another banner yesterday that I am sure looked really nice in the shop, but was less than effective as deployed. I was as close to the banner as possible, about 75-80 feet away. I could read the first line, but not the other four lines of text. The banner must have been 4×20, but for all practical purposes, it could have been 1×20. The other lines of text ranged in size from about 1 inch to 4 inches in height.

The general rule of thumb is 1 inch for every 10 feet of viewing distance. Each line of text should have been AT LEAST 8 inches high. Try not to include too much information. Stick to what matters most.

The top banner is what I saw, the bottom banner is what I would do. You tell me, which is easier to read?

Using signs and banners for new business marketing is a good idea. Most people think that all marketing has to take place on the internet. It is true that the internet is the way people look for information these days.

But the old fashioned way of advertising is still going strong. And with all your competitors using the internet as their only means of advertising you will have an advantage. If you are the only one with a sign or banner up then you will get the business the others do not. You can find great deals on signs and banners on the internet. You can use what are called bandit signs.

You can have them easily made up by a company online. You then find an area where a lot of people frequent. You can put up a bandit sign near a freeway off ramp. This way in the morning hour rush people will be stopped at traffic and they will see your sign.

You can use what are called bandit signs. These are signs you step onto the base and then push into the ground. The sign will be taken down after awhile but at least you will get some exposure from it. Remember if you place your website on the sign that it is easy to remember.

If you put your website address on the sign make sure it is easy to remember. People do not have the desire to write anything down. You can also order a banner online the same way. Put up the banner in a vacant lot that has a lot of foot traffic nearby.

The owner will not come by anytime soon probably. And who else cares if their is a banner there. If you have a typical brick and mortar business then by all means you need some banners to hang outside to grab the attention of people going by.

You can hang signs in places like bus stops or laundry mats. Again make sure the city rules allow this. Keep a record of the signs you post in case you have to go back to remove them.

Using Signs And Banners For New Business Marketing is a good plan. The plain and simple fact is you have to do all you can to announce your business to get it up and running. The initial effort you make in promotion will pay off.

Using our web-based technology, you can design and purchase affordable signs and banners online quickly and easily, 24/7, from anywhere in the United States. Pinsonsignshop.com is your first choice for Salem signs.

I saw a really beautiful magnetic sign this morning on the way to work. It was for a landscaping company and they had had it digitally printed with a full color landscape scene. It really was a stunning image. I would like to say who the company was, but I don’t know. You see, I could tell it had two lines of text on it, but it was printed so small that I was unable to read it from four feet away at 10 mph. Sad.

They would have been much better served with a plain white background with 2 lines of dark green text. At least then potential customers might know who to contact. Let’s not get caught up in fancy when simple better serves the message.

These become mobile marketers for your campaign. The vehicles can be parked at sporting events, fairgrounds, and other high visibility locations. Use them when you visit senior centers, fraternal organizations, and other groups.

Ask popular supporters if they are willing to walk some of your yard signs to a number of the neighbors, hand out your literature, and explain why you are getting their vote. Make sure they collect that persons name, address, and phone number so the campaign can follow up with a thank you note or call from the candidate.

Know your local ordinances for sign sizes and placement. Know your state and federal right of way rules regarding campaign signs. Be aware that workers will confiscate your signs.

Get your signs early in the process. Identify key locations and distribute your signs in advance to supporters. Coordinate the date that you would like everyone to put your signs up in their yard. Save your large four by eight foot signs for the locations with the most traffic.

Using signs and banners for special event promotion is the best way to inform the public about your special event. Whether it is placed on a building or at a street corner, it will be attention getting.

These can be used for anything from a private party, such as a baby shower, to a lunch special at a diner, to a concert at a huge stadium. They can be any size or shape, and your only limitation will be in regards to where it is placed on a property.

When you advertise for a special event, it should be informative. The title of the event should be at the top, and the place and time is also indicated. You may want to include bullets of special appearances or other events within the event. And do not forget the contact information.

Usually custom made, these signs and banners will have company logos on them, and the colors you can use to get your message across are endless. So be imaginative and people will respond.

A banner looks like something special in itself. Whether it is placed at the top of a building for all traffic to see, or dragged behind a small airplane above a crowd, it is attention getting. Immediately your audience is curious about it and reading it.

Ask any real estate agent, and they will tell you that their best advertising and marketing strategies have to do with the placement of signage on a home or building. That is because when someone calls about it, they have already seen the outside. The location and outward appearance of the building is already known, and a conversation can commence from that point.

So whatever the occasion, using signs and banners for special event advertising is a great way to make the announcement.

If one car does not make to the event you are still prepared. Prepare for business owners that do not want to overtly favor one candidate and their party over another. Use a distinctive logo on your sign. Purchase signs encouraging people to vote that have your unique logo. Ask the business community to post those signs and the logo becomes a subliminal connection.

Identify supporters with trucks and vans. Provide them with banners to put on their vehicles. Find very high traffic locations where the vehicle can be parked all day. A location near a couple big box stores is ideal.

Banners are portable for events. You must know how you will affix them to a wall because most venues will not allow thumbtacks or staples. For every event make sure that at least two separate vehicles are carrying your supply of signs, banners, and materials required to display each.
